These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of thechiefcode.com and any other website, form, or landing page operated by Meyer Lucas Media, LLC, doing business as The Chief Code ("The Chief Code," "we," "us," or "our") that links to these Terms (together, the "Sites"). By using the Sites or submitting a form, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Sites.

1. Use of the Sites

You may use the Sites for lawful, personal, and business purposes. You agree not to misuse the Sites, including by submitting false or misleading information, interfering with their operation, attempting unauthorized access, scraping, or sending spam or automated submissions.

2. Match requests and applications

You agree that the information you submit is accurate and that you have permission to submit any information about other people you include. Submitting a match request or operator application does not guarantee an introduction, a placement, or a hire. The Chief Code may accept, decline, or pause any request or application at its discretion.

3. Introductions and hiring

The Chief Code introduces CEOs, founders, and entrepreneurs to Chiefs of Staff and other operators. Hiring decisions, compensation, employment terms, and the working relationship are between the hiring company and the operator. If you engage The Chief Code for matchmaking services, a separate written agreement will govern those services and controls if it conflicts with these Terms.

4. Communications

By submitting a form, you agree that The Chief Code may contact you by email, phone, or text message about your submission, the related match or application, and related offers, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can opt out of marketing messages at any time. For text messages, reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply.

5. Intellectual property

The Sites and their content, including text, graphics, logos, photos, videos, and design, are owned by The Chief Code or its licensors and are protected by copyright and trademark law. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or commercially use any content without our written permission, except to share links or excerpts with attribution.

6. Content you submit

If you submit content such as résumés, bios, headshots, or comments, you confirm you have the right to do so and grant The Chief Code a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and share that content in connection with the Sites and our matchmaking services.

7. Third-party sites

The Sites may link to third-party websites, products, and services. We do not control and are not responsible for them. Your dealings with any third party are solely between you and that third party.

8. Disclaimers

The Sites and their content are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Content on the Sites is for general information only and is not legal, financial, tax, or employment advice. We do not guarantee the outcome of any introduction or hire.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Chief Code and its members, employees, contractors, and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Sites or any introduction we make. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Sites will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars ($100).

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Chief Code and its members, employees, contractors, and partners from any claims, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from your misuse of the Sites, your violation of these Terms, or content you submit.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Palm Beach County, Florida, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above shows when they were last changed. Continued use of the Sites after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
