This Privacy Policy explains how Meyer Lucas Media, LLC, doing business as The Chief Code ("The Chief Code," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, and shares information when you visit thechiefcode.com or any other website, form, or landing page that links to this policy (together, the "Sites"), or when you use our Chief of Staff matchmaking services.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us. When you fill out a form, request a match, apply as an operator, subscribe, or contact us, we collect what you enter. This can include your name, email address, phone number, company, job title, work history, résumé, mailing address, LinkedIn or other social profiles, and your answers to questions on the form.
Information collected automatically. When you use the Sites, we and our service providers collect device and usage data such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, referring URLs, and the date and time of your visit, using cookies, pixels, and similar technologies.
2. How we use information
- To review match requests and operator applications, and to make introductions between CEOs, founders, and entrepreneurs and Chiefs of Staff and other operators
- To respond to your questions and provide the services you request
- To send newsletters, Leadership Stories, and marketing messages, which you can opt out of at any time
- To operate, secure, and improve the Sites, and to prevent spam and fraud
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms
3. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as follows:
- Introductions. When we introduce a CEO or founder to an operator, we share relevant information from each side's submission with the other so both can evaluate the match.
- Service providers. We use vendors for website hosting, forms, our CRM, email and text messaging, scheduling, file storage, payments, and analytics. They may use your information only to perform services for us.
- Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of The Chief Code, our clients, or others.
- Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
4. Text messages
If you provide a mobile number and agree to receive text messages, we may send you messages about your match request, application, or appointment, and other messages you agreed to receive. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
5. Email marketing
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time with the link at the bottom of any email. We may still send you messages about a match request, application, or service you requested.
6. Cookies and analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep the Sites working, remember your preferences, and understand how visitors use the Sites. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some features may not work without them.
7. Data retention
We keep personal information for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law.
